WHO WE ARE

Bridget founded We Save the World because she is determined to make a big impact on preserving the eco-systems we know and love. She is a mother of three, an entrepreneur, a theater and teaching artist, lyricist, writer and designer. Bridget believes in creativity, collaboration, imagination and the power and empathetic spirit of young people. She is their ally in championing the natural world to protect their future. ​

Najjemba Muwanga is a Producer, Casting Director, Writer and also CEO of Quest TV. She is an American-Ugandan entrepreneur with a solid background in media and film production who is passionate about human rights, women’s and children’s affairs.

Hassan Mageye is a visionary filmmaker and storyteller with a passion for capturing the impactful work of We Save the World. Using his expertise in filming and acting, he ensures that no moment goes unnoticed, transforming real-life events into compelling visual narratives. Through his lens, he brings stories to life, inspiring and motivating people to take action to make the world a better place for us and generations to come.

Sarah Van Giesen is a mother of two young adult boys, an architect, and has served as a lead volunteer in the schools and on a number of boards. Her parents instilled in her the spirit of volunteerism and a great love for nature, so she's a great cheerleader for We Save the World and all it stands for.

I love nature and care about sustainable development. I believe that storytelling, Communication and Digital media can help make a positive impact on our environment. At WSTW, I get to highlight the amazing things our community is doing to promote sustainability. Through engaging content and active social media, I work to share our efforts and encourage others to join us. Together, we can create a greener and more sustainable future for all!

Awiyii Blaise is a dedicated environmentalist and nature lover, driven by a passion for protecting the natural world. As the founder of Ecofriends Cameroon, he has been instrumental in promoting environmental conservation and sustainability. With a strong background in plant sciences (BSc) and currently pursuing an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation, Awiyii has worked tirelessly on various projects aimed at preserving local rivers and beaches. As Partnership Coordinator for 'We Save the World' (WSTW), Awiyii seeks collaborative opportunities, representing WSTW in school outreach and sensitization campaigns. He mobilizes young eco-heroes to take action, inspiring a new generation of environmental stewards to “save the world”.

MK Hicks has a deep background in technology and marketing and loves to champion young people and educational opportunities. She is the mother of two adult daughters, one of whom is an ocean scientist.

I've been passionate about saving the planet from a young age. Once I became a software developer, I did not hesitate to use my skills to help create the technological solutions we need to execute on our mission of raising funds for vetted environmentally focused charities. My expertise in web development and system architecture powers We Save The World's child-friendly fundraising systems that connect young environmental advocates with tools that allow them to make a real, lasting change. I can't wait to continue helping We Save the World educate and inspire the next generation of Eco-Heroes!

I have worked on web customization projects to create user-friendly experiences but this was different, I’m inspired by how 'We Save the World' transforms environmental action into a fun, engaging initiative, bringing people together to protect our planet in meaningful but creative way.
